The Clementine Experiment

Inquiry Update:

We found seeds inside our mystery object after we figured out how to break it open. We began to make some comparisons between the seeds inside this squash to the inside of the pumpkin we opened in October.
These seeds are dry. The pumpkin in October was slippery, cold, slimy and wet.

What will happen to this clementine if we leave it for 10 days? Our class is observing. Here is what we noticed:
It is squishy.
It is soft.
It looks like a bouncy ball.
It looks like an orange.
It's orange.

Here are our predictions:
It will get brown and it will be bigger.
It is gonna be old.
It's going to be red.
It's gonna be like a pumpkin.

Day 1

Day 4
On Day 4 we made some more predictions and observations:
It is a little brown.
I see brown dots.
There's 2 colours.
There is no green dot (the stem is gone).
It is more squishy.
